Content Writer - Chennai

We’re looking for a creative thinker with excellent writing and research capabilities to help us create new and enhance existing content from the new position of in-house ‘Marketing Copywriter’. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will be writing and editing copy across a variety of topics for implementation on the AG website and social media. You will also be working closely with the Marketing, Sales and Technical teams to brainstorm ideas, create and develop messaging. A successful copywriter at AG will be expected to be a quick learner with an educational, professional, and authoritative writing style.

• Continually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action.
• Comfortably deliver on-brand voice, style, and other characteristics required by the project, task, communication type or target audience at hand.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communication and vendor-related industry terms/trends.
• Be the leading authority on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging across all company communications.
• Research and understand go-to-market messaging through online searches, existing content, internal interviews, and team meetings.
• Support the Marketing team with content they have produced in terms of message and grammar.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team from concept development to delivery of final content.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2-5 years professional copywriting experience with solid portfolio of work.
• Exceptional writing and research skill.
• Ability to work independently and with a the Marketing team to meet deadlines.
• Excellent organisational skill and multitasking ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
Preferences:
• Social media or content marketing experience a plus
• Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides a plus
• Experience working with content management systems, HubSpot, etc.
• A keen eye for detail.

Interview Process at AG
We are looking for a Content Writer ideally with exposure in SAP content writing. The right candidate would be identified post the below mentioned interview rounds:
• Round 1: HR Interview - To identify/cross check professional & personal details
• Round 2: Technical Round – To gauge the technical expertise of the candidate
• Round 3: Director rendezvous – Directors confirm if the candidate is a good fit for AG
The candidate would be asked to complete AG’s Application of Employment Form post successful completion of Round 1. Prior to round 2, kindly ensure as the candidate progresses to next round the list of all 6 documents compulsorily required in full are:
