SAP ABAP Consultant - UK - Job Opening
We are looking for a talented SAP ABAP Consultant with strong technical design and development experience across core SAP technologies. This role will focus on delivering high-quality SAP developments, working closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to design, build, and support innovative SAP solutions. The successful candidate will be a hands-on technical consultant with experience across ABAP, integrations, enhancements, and SAP development frameworks, capable of working independently while contributing to project teams across both implementation and support engagements. This role is based in Slough, UK, operating on a hybrid working model with onsite presence required Tuesday to Thursday each week.

Key responsibilities
• Design, develop, and implement technical solutions using SAP ABAP technologies.
• Build and support SAP RICEF developments including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.
• Develop and enhance custom SAP applications based on business and functional requirements.
• Support and enhance SAP standard and custom Fiori applications where required.
• Develop and maintain integrations between SAP and third-party systems.
• Work with SAP development tools including Eclipse ADT, SAP Business Application Studio (BAS), and SAP Web IDE.
• Contribute to SAP development activities within SAP BTP where required.
• Develop and support interfaces using technologies such as IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, and ALE.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Participate in technical design workshops and contribute to solution design discussions.
• Support testing activities, defect resolution, and deployment activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical support for existing SAP solutions and enhancements.
• Deliver consulting services across implementation, upgrade, transformation, and support projects.
• Assist end users through training, knowledge transfer, issue resolution, and best-practice guidance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure clients receive exceptional service and high-quality deliverables at all times.
• Complete all mandatory training relating to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001.
• Support the organisation in achieving and maintaining compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001 standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
Location / Working Pattern
• Based in Slough, UK
• Hybrid working arrangement.
• Required onsite in Slough Tuesday to Thursday each week.
• Remote working available on remaining working days, subject to business and project requirements.
