We are seeking a talented Senior SAP FICO S/4HANA Functional Consultant (Finance & Controlling with Project Systems experience), ideally with exposure to the Oil & Gas/Energy or Automotive sectors. This role requires a strong emphasis on leadership and stakeholder management.The successful candidate will work on both implementation and support projects, partnering with clients to understand finance processes, analyse requirements, and deliver effective SAP solutions.

Senior SAP FICO S/4HANA Consultant - UK - Job Opening

Key responsibilities

    Deliver full lifecycle SAP implementations including assessment, blueprinting, configuration, testing, data migration, and go live support.
    Facilitate client workshops to analyse business requirements and define SAP solutions aligned with best practices.
    Analyse existing business models and design functional specifications and test plans.
    Perform gap analysis and create detailed functional design documentation.
    Manage integration with SAP modules such as MM, SD, and PS.
    Lead system configuration, testing, and validation activities.
    Support user acceptance testing and provide end user training.
    Design and execute data migration strategies and templates.
    Develop and manage cutover plans and post go live support activities.
    Provide project updates and, where required, manage small to mid sized projects.
    Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
    Mentor junior consultants and contribute to team development.

Skills and Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
    Proven SAP S/4HANA implementation experience with verifiable project references.
    Minimum 8 years of SAP FICO experience across implementation and support projects.
    Strong experience in feasibility analysis and solution design for IT initiatives.
    Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables.
    Excellent client engagement and stakeholder management skills.
    Strong problem solving mindset with a proactive, results driven approach.
    Experience mentoring or leading consultant teams.
    Industry experience in Utilities or Oil & Gas is advantageous.
    Key expertise areas include:
o    SAP S/4HANA Finance (FICO)
o    Business Partner configuration
o    Currency settings
o    New Fixed Assets
o    Parallel and extension ledgers
o    Fiori applications


Preferred Qualifications:

Additional experience in the following areas is advantageous:

    • SAP S/4HANA conversion projects
    • Central Finance
    • Profitability Analysis (COPA)
    • Product Costing
    • OpenText (VIM)
    • Joint Venture Accounting (JV)
    • Project Systems (PS)
